Tip on behaviour change

To CHANGE BEHAVIOUR there needs to be a deep desire to let go of your old self or a part of you that doesn't serve you anymore. You need to schedule the change and do it for 90 days. Your body and mind needs time to get used to it for it to stick.

You need to be patient and keep the goal in mind and when setbacks bring you down, stand up and go again until the mind and the body have learnt the new YOU.

My challenge - I wanted to avoid feeling cold and remove my apprehension of getting wet without a wetsuit (warm weather is my comfort zone).

First, I learnt techniques that assisted my body and mind to overcome discomfort. I learnt the Wim Hoff breathing technique to help me overcome the nervousness and body tightening feeling I had when I looked at the water on a chilled morning.

Today, I got up at 5am and headed to the beach for a swim. I could feel the discomfort rising, but I chose to ignore my nerves. Then, I practiced my breathing and ran into the waves, not stopping even when my body was telling me otherwise!

Once I was in, my body relaxed and I enjoyed being in the water, beautiful surroundings, so calming and refreshing. I felt alive and awake.

When I got out, I felt so powerful and inspired! The soul loves challenges so it can overcome them and show us that we can always go further, we are magnificent.

Try something out of your comfort zone and let me know!
